'Linda is a fantastic tutor, following lock-down and extended home schooling we were concerned that our daughter's attainment had fallen behind and wanted to give her that extra boost from a qualified professional. We have been so happy with her progress and her confidence in reading has really improved. Linda is patient and kind and tailors her approach to match our daughter's interest in topics. For example, spending a topic on Kings and Queens and providing all sorts of extra resources to make the learning fun such as modelling clay, stickers and so on. We are just starting the same for our soon to be reception aged son and he is already really engaged in the material'. - Liz, Parent - Y2
Linda is great and you can play so many games and have fun with letters - Paris aged 5 - Rec
Linda has been teaching Paris to read and write since he was 4 years old. Linda engages him really well over zoom and is super friendly and flexible. each session builds on the last and is always full of fun activities. Paris is bilingual so these sessions are really important to be taught by a native English speaker. - Vicky, Parent - Rec
We can't recommend Linda enough she is honest, friendly, reliable and generally a lovely person! Our daughter enjoys the extra tutoring sessions and we feel that Linda always gets the most out of her. She makes the lessons fun whilst focusing on the areas needed. Look no further if your child needs that bit of extra support. Linda you are a Star! - Nicola, Parent - Y2
I was really struggling with maths and I got upset over it but Linda has really helped me to improve with my maths and even though I still struggle I have gotten more confident. Linda and me made things that could help me with my maths which has helped me as well. Linda is really kind and patient which makes it much better. - Georgie aged 10 - Y5
My daughter was struggling with her maths, she wasn't very confident or comfortable with the subject and this became particularly evident with the onset of the Covid Pandemic when I was tasked with homeschooling her for several months! She would quickly become frustrated with the maths work given to her by her teachers and would become physically distressed at the prospect of any maths related tasks. On returning to school, it became evident that her progress had continued to stand still and that she was falling behind others of the same age in this subject. I was so fortunate at this point to have Linda from Bright Sparks Tutoring recommended to me! I knew that we needed to put some intervention in place to boost my daughter and one to one sessions seemed to be the perfect solution. Linda was very professional and thorough in her approach to planning for my daughter. We discussed the red flag areas that she would need the most support with and also the areas that my daughter found particularly challenging/frustrating to grasp. Linda was like a breath of fresh air for my daughter. She came back from her lessons feeling confident and even enthusiastic about the areas that they had been working on together, keen to continue learning about the topics. My daughter said that the lessons were fun and she talked animatedly about various methods used to help her to learn. My daughter's most recent report has shown a great leap in her maths progress which we are delighted with! This growth has undoubtedly been largely due to the positive input from Linda's tuition. I would wholeheartedly recommend Linda to any parent looking for support for their child. - Michala, Parent - Y5
'Just thought I would share with you that in her school report my child has received A's in all her subjects. We are very thankful to you for all the effort you have put towards this' - Parent - Year 2
After only having Linda for a few months, she has already improved my grades and skill in maths. I'm not scared to ask her for help because she is always patient and puts in as much effort to help me. She praises me every lesson and has encouraged me to keep trying on a tough question. She is polite to both me and my family and suggests books or websites for extra support. I appreciate Linda and what she has done to help me. - Ruby Year 11 aged 15 Years old
